I've spent two hours of my employer's valuable time reading that dude's blog. What a crack-up! You write just as well, though, and should continue to chronicle your own experience. He had a few morsels of stuff we already ought to know - "Tomorrow is not guaranteed and you better not let today pass without making the most of it." Love that. Love you. Praying hard that you too will soon be "unremarkable."
